Well, here we go, shilling for a book called I Am Not Myself These Days. Why? Um, cause Josh Kilmer-Purcell asked us to (we're tots Myspace friends, doncha know).
Also, we truly enjoyed this book, and we want his publishers to be happy so they'll ensure his follow-up tomes reach the masses in a timely fashion. So, you know the drill--click on the image. You know you want to. It's all hypnotic and swirly.
One of our favorite new authors, Josh Kilmer Purcell, did so well with his debut memoir "I Am Not Myself These Days" that he's been signed to pen two more books, one fiction (tentatively titled "Candy Everybody Wants") and another non-fiction tome.
"I Am Not Myself..." is probably the best drag queen/hustler-on-crack love story we've ever read. Hope his new works don't dissapoint.

Augusten Burroughs, author of the screamingly funny memoirs Running with Scissors and Dry, has just published his latest book Possible Side Effects. Like his previous release Magical Thinking, PSE is a collection of essays that once again expose the utter weirdness of Burroughs' life. With a movie adaptation of Running with Scissors coming soon, Augusten Burroughs is about to reach a much bigger audience. Whether they'll appreciate the Queen Helene and dried turds remains to be seen.
If you need more real like wackiness, check out the memoir I Am Not Myself These Days by Josh Kilmer-Purcell. Purcell spent his days as a young hotshot ad agent and his nights as the inebriated drag queen Aqua. Throw in a crack-addicted boyfriend, a penthouse apartment, and shake. The wit is as dry as a good martini and the comedy as sparkling as a glass of champagne.
Both these authors' lives are so weird they couldn't make the shit up, unlike say... James Frey.
