Direct Call: Human Rights Campaign's Gala Benefit

operatorLA was in attendance at this year's HRC Gala Benefit Dinner in Los Angeles and let me tell you, I am inspired. What a great cause and a great night! Here is my re-cap for the evening:

First of all, Charo opened the show and she rocked! I have always known her as the Cootchie-Cootchie girl, but I didn't know how amazing she truly was. Her energy was undeniable, her presence overwhelming, her body was unbelievable and her performance was astounding. I didn't know that she was one of the world's top classical guitar players. She had the crowd on its feet!

The HRC honored the Liberty Hill Foundation and Tori Osborn, Brian Graden and LOGO television and Al Franken. The Key note speaker was Al Gore.

Other celebrities in attendance were Tori Spelling, HarryHamlin and Lisa Rinner, Melissa Etheridge, and Caroline Rhea. Natasha Beddingfield also performed a song.

The HRC is a great cause and is working to improve the rights of all people. Check them out, become a member or volunteer some time.
