Disgraced former Senate majority leader Tom "the Hammer" DeLay is resigning from congress and not pursuing re-election. Is is because he's indicted on criminal charges? Tell us, Tom.

He's also doing it to cockblock any Democratic bid for his seat. "I refuse to allow liberal Democrats an opportunity to steal this seat with a negative personal campaign."
No Tom, only Republicans steal elections, remember. And money.
