Wiretap: Scissor Sisters
Last night's Scissor Sisters show was so freakin' good. They've been holed up in the studio for the last 9 months working on their sophomore album; it was obvious they were enjoying the chance to play for an audience again. Jake Shears looked like he stepped off the cover of Bowie's Ziggy Stardust album -- he was moonage daydreamy. Ms. Matronic urged us to fight for our right to dance by opposing the city's Draconian cabaret laws and tossed candy to the crowd. Cher was in attendance on Saturday, but last night OperatorNYC spotted Richie Rich and Traver Rains of Heatherette and flamboyant comedian Frank DeCaro. Up in the V.I.P. section we spied Karl Lagerfeld and Kyle Minogue!!! Kylie looked fierce and was shaking her tiny booty all night long. Karl Lagerfeld looked like someone wheeled him over from Madame Tussaud's.
The set was a mix of old favorites and new songs like I Don't Feel Like Dancing, Land of a Thousand Words and She's My Man. The filthy/gorgeous crowd was loving the show.
