In this story from CNN, it seems William Crawford was trying to retain his seat on the central committee of the Eerie County Democratic Party. However, the vote ended in a tie. The part that makes this story ridiculous is that Crawford's two sons, both registered Democrats, did not vote at all. One of the sons lives across the street from Crawford and the other lives in the same house.
