Good Call: Shortbus finds distributor

We here at The Operator were worried for a tad bit. John Cameron Mitchell's newest film, Shortbus, came out of Cannes without a distributor. Since the film depicts graphic sexual acts, we knew it would be difficult fo Cameron to find someone to release the film.

We can fear no more. Playbill.com is reporting that the film willbe released in North America by ThinkFilm.

ThinkFilm's Mark Urman, who heads the indie company's theatrical division, told the Hollywood Reporter, "We [at ThinkFilm] all saw it together, and were unanimous about it. It's quite groundbreaking, and we were all impressed with how natural and normal and comedic the extreme sex became without being offensive."
