The Ring-A-Ding: Anti-Gays Now Picking on The Straight Scene,Turkey Bans Gay Magazine, Gay Groups Want on UN Team

According to reports, Turkey's one and only gay magazine has been banned. While this is not surprising, it is still upsetting. If the magazine was anything like the rags in America, maybe Turkey just doesn't like insipid reporting, gratuitous shots of mostly naked men and columns that read like a high school cheerleader's blog. No that we have anything against this magazine, or this one, or this one. [via Pink News UK]

The UN Economic Social Council is expected to decide on whether to grant consultative status to three gay and lesbian groups. Consultative status allows groups to address the international body. Up until now there are no group on the council that speaks for our community. Really though, does it matter? Pretty much all the UN is good for these days is finding reasons to use those really fun round tables and to try out new headset technology. [via Pink News UK]
