Wiretap: Jake Shears Considered Suicide

Jake Shears, dynamic frontman for the glamtastic Scissor Sisters, says he considered suicide after the rapid success of his band. The constant touring and sudden notoriety took their toll on the singer:
"Getting off the road was the most miserable thing I've ever experienced in my life. I've never felt so low. I was ready to go walk over to the Hudson and float away. It was more than a comedown. It was like shooting a torpedo into the ground."

Shears credits his boyfriend from talking him down from the proverbial ledge.
