The Ring-A-Ding: Blacks are Feeling Neglected, Army Trio is Rejected, and Basher gets Arrested

Oh, Poor you- speakers at a gathering of black Episcopalians told the group that Episcopal leadership is focusing on the issue of gay ordination at the cost of addressing minority concerns, and is enlisting African bishops to fight a battle that's not theirs. How very Christian of them! Equality should be everyone' battle and if anyone should know that, it is the African American community. [via 365 gay]

Gotta love these kids-Three young people were turned away when they tried to enlist at an Army recruiting station in Philadelphia and announced they are gay. The three are part of the Right to Serve Campaign - a national protest of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell", organized by the nondenominational Soulforce. No snarky comment here, just lots of kudos! operatorLA loves what you all are doing![via 365 gay]

Police are accusing a 24-year-old man and two teenage boys of sneaking up on six men and beating them – in five separate attacks – as they left the San Diego gay pride festival Saturday night in Balboa Park. The act may is horrible so lets hope that justice is swift. [via queerty]
