The Ring-A-Ding: Blair Good To Gays, Bashers Get A Long Stay, Cheerleader caught in Homophobic Fray

We always liked Tony Blair. He is liberal and looks out for the working class. He also always had the queers' backs. Then he started licking Bush's ass and we realized why he cared about the gays so much. He was in a man loving relationship with the US President. Anyway, Tony has come out to say that this year will be his last as Prime Minister and his final speech in front of the Labour Party Conference was last night. He referred to "changes for gay people denied equal rights," pointing out the way his party has changed Britain since coming to power in 1997. Can you imagine Blair's butt buddy Bush saying anything positive about gays in the media. Not gonna happen.

Bashers, Beware!!! Three men accused of vicious attacks on men leaving San Diego's gay pride festival last July were handed long terms in prison oMonday. Jameses Carroll, 24; Lyonn Tatum, 18; and Kenneth Lincoln, 24, suddenly changed their pleas to guilty on Friday after two days of damning testimony during a preliminary hearing. Under a plea bargain accepted Monday by Judge Frederick Maguire, Carroll will serve 11 years in prison, Tatum eight years and Lincoln 32 months. Our favorite part of the story is that Lincoln was convicted of being an accessory after the fact because he shaved Tatum's head and gave him tattoos to hide his appearance. That's right kids, Lincoln is going to prison for a makeover.

This next story really hit home for operatorLA because he was almost bashed in high school after a football game. He wasn't a cheerleader, he was just singled out for being his fabulous self. However, this was awhile ago and operatorLA doesn't think that back then any school would have been progressive enough to turn a hate crime into a learning tool:

Administrators from both schools conducted an investigation of the incident and had a meeting Wednesday morning to discuss how to proceed. Following the meeting, administrators released the following statement: "It was mutually decided that this is an opportunity for a teachable moment," a press release states. "A diversity rally is being planned for Friday, Sept. 28 to take place concurrently at both schools to speak out against ignorance and promote diversity."
