The Ring-A-Ding: Judicial Nominee Held Back, Spitzer Says Gay Marriage Is Civil Rights Act, CA Rejects Marriage Due To Domestic Partner Fact

Republican Sen. Sam Brownback of Kansas, is holding up a Michigan judge's nomination to the federal bench because she reportedly helped lead a commitment ceremony for a lesbian couple in Massachusetts four years ago. We think he is just upset because his name sounds like a gay sex act!

The frontrunner in the race for New York State governor, Elliot Spitzer, drew thunderous applause and a standing ovation Thursday night as he declared same-sex marriage a civil right. operatorLA thinks that it must be nice to live in a state where a potential governor says something like that. Our governor just hems and haws and then looks to the Republican base that is holding up his candidacy for his answers.

A California appeals court has dealt gay marriage supporters a severe blow after upholding the state’s ban on same-sex marriages with a 2-1 vote. The courts felt that the ruling was null considering the fact that CA has a strong Domestic Partner Law and it is pretty much what the defendants were asking for.
