Callsheet: Sextra! Sextra!

Being an extra (Sorry, "background actor") on a feature film is a thankless, tedious job. It's all hurry up and wait, sequestered away from the stars, trying to figure out if the person dressed like a homeless woman might actually be homeless. But being a sextra on John Cameron Mitchell's Shortbus, howver, not just another day on the set. Village Voice sexpert Tristan Taormino put her talents (ahem) to use in the film's orgy scenes, which she describes below:

I think the first shot was supposed to be a test run. But the minute the cameras started rolling, everyone just started fucking. We were there to fuck and we were ready. No hesitation, no awkward "how does the thing get going" orgy moment, just all-out fucking—loud, magical, sweaty, uninhibited sexin'. Two gay guys were rimming each other near my feet. A tattooed brunette mounted her boyfriend to my right. The cameras kept rolling, and John would chime in periodically with some directions or usher a new character into the scene...I had no sense of time, but my partner said his jaw was killing him and he must have been licking my pussy for two hours.

Sadly, we did some extra work back in the day, and all we got were some soggy Doritos from craft service and a brief glimpse of Kevin Spacey. Sigh.
