The Ring-A-Ding: Elton John Has Something Good To Say, Carol Channing Doesn't Like The Gays, Mehlman To Step Out Of GOP Fray

We like to think that Elton John has lost all touch with reality. We fantasize about him carrying on backstage, moaning and fussing about how people aren't kissing his ass enough. We picture him wearing a tiara and a bathrobe and constantly flanked by ten handlers that must make his every whim happen. We like to think that he has become so famous that he no longer has anything valid to say. Then he goes and does something that proves us wrong. John was recently quoted as saying:

"I think religion has always tried to turn hatred towards gay people," John said in the Observer newspaper's Music Monthly Magazine. "Religion promotes the hatred and spite against gays."

And it apears that we aren't the only who thin that John is correct in his statement. The Gay and Lesbian Humanist Association (GALHA) has backed comments from Sir Elton John after he claimed that religion promotes the hatred of gays.

operatorLA never really understood the fascination with Carol Channing. She always seemd outdated to us and we never thought she was all that talented. We did, however, understand her camp value which we hope was most of her appeal to the queeer community. And we also hope that after you read this story, that appeal will fade and we can see Channing for who she really is. An old, sad and ignorant lady who can really only perform one role.

Wow, October and November of 2006 are proof that there is a God and that he does listen to the prayers of atleast one faggot in Los Angeles. How else to explain the fact that in the last few weeks, the Democrats have taken hold of Congress, Rumsfield stepped down from his position, Ted Haggard shamed his congregration, Doogie Howser and TR Knight came out of the closet and now the Republican National Committee Chairman Ken Mehlman, will be stepping down form his position in January. Of course no one is saying why Mehlman won't be trying to win his position again, but we bet it has something to do with Bill Maher outing him on The LArry King Show.
