Directory: The Bigfoot Lodge

Last night, while operatorLA was cuddled up on the couch with his dog, he received a call from the amazing Lowe Taylor. She wanted to have a quick drink. Always happy to oblige an alocholic binge, operatorLA said sure. 5 minutes later Ms. Taylor was there to pick him up and off they went to find a local dive bar. Well, were they astounded when the stumbled upon The Bigfoot Lodge. operatorLA had passed this bar many times and from the outside it looks divey, and on the weekends it is overflowing with hipsters, which led him to believe that it was a trendy dive. However, once they passed through the doors, Ms. Taylor and operatorLA were pleasantly surprised. Not only was the decor kitschy and fun but the place was clean and well maintained- and it was busy for a Monday night. Seems every Monday is Karaoke Night and the last Monday of the month is Kamakazee Karaoke, which means that the singer doesn't know what song they will perform until they step onto the stage!

The crowd was hipster-ish, but amiable and the bartenders were hot. operatorLA always loves chicks with tattoos and pink hair who mix drinks while sporting scouting uniforms! The drinks were well made and served at a reasonable price. So Ms. Taylor and operatorLA had three each. And by the third, they were up near the stage dancing and singing along to Karaoke- which, mind you, operatorLA would never consider doing sober.

If you are looking for a fun bar to hang and get a good drink or if you have a hankering for a place with some nice lodge decor and a hipster crowd, check out The Bigfoot Lodge.

Yes, quite the pleasant surprise. I think I shall return again, with even more amigos to enjoy the fine beverages and hanging wall animals.
