Callsheet: The State on DVD. Huzzah!

We hope this news is true as we've been waiting and waiting for MTV to release a compilation of their cult sketch comedy show The State for freakin' ever.

While the various side projects of State members have faired very well, from Stella to Reno 911 and films like The Baxter and Wet Hot American Summer; there was something about the synergy of the early shows. Or maybe it was the drugs.

The only prior release was a VHS compilation of the show called The State: Skits and Stickers, including sketches that never aired on MTV. In college, The Operator was known to watch it repeadly, often in a less than sober condition. Ah, how we fondly remember Louie the "I wanna dip my balls in it guy," "The Jew, The Italian and the Red-head Gay," "Monkey Torture" and of course "Doug."

Wow, for a minute there, we think we might have had an acid flashback.
