The Ring-A-Ding: Phelps Fined For No Show, Straights Think AZ Marriage Ban Should Go, Russia Lets Gay Blood Flow
Gotta love it. Fred Phelps, the incredibly bigoted and hateful preacher that protests everything form parades to funerals is being fined by a Michigan township for requesting police security and then not showing up to the protest. If Phelp's organization does not show up with the fine, he may have to do some time. [via PageOneQ]
See all the straights are not out to get us. In Arizona a group of heterosexuals are suing to have the proposed same-sex marriage ban kept off the november 7th ballot. The plaintiffs are five heterosexual couples, mostly senior citizens, who say the broadly written initiative would strip them of domestic-partner status they receive from various cities in the state. Yay, for the old and not gay! [via gay.com]
Although we can't do it here in the states, it looks like Russia's government will allow homosexuals to give blood. operatorLA is not too upset by the American ban, however. He gave blood once when he was seventeen and passed out. [via Pink News]
