The Ring-A-Ding: Gays to Stay Out of Books in Schools, "No Intervention" CT Court Rules, Pro-Life Group is a Bunch of Fools

Compromise is important in politics, but we don't like they way this bill went. An intiative that was supposed to include the historical contributions of gay people in California textbooks has been scaled back by the bill's author, Sen.Sheila Kuehl. She feared a veto by our Governator so the new bill just says that material can't be discrimintaory towards gay people. There will be no need to include the work of say, Harvey Milk, but it will be perfectly alright if they want to leave him out as well. That's fair. [via The Advocate]

The state Supreme Court of Connecticut has denied a conservative group's request to intervene in a lawsuit seeking to legalize gay marriage in Connecticut. The Family Institute of Connecticut will have to keep their bigoted noses out of our business. [via Page One Q]

Wow! It's amazing how people can dillude themselves. A pro-life group has criticised a sexual health awareness week organised by the Family planning Association claiming the charity is promoting a “safe sex hoax.” Hoax! Amazing. You know it is the new millenium, we assumed that ideas like condoms and such were not that radical. Guess that is what we get for actually thinking. [via Pink News UK]
