A Texas pastor accused of raping a church member after telling her she was possessed by a lesbian demon at his house last year has been indicted. Sometimes we here at The Operator are a little ashamed to admit that we come from the Sunshine State, especially when it shows its true colors as a Southern state full of ignorant conservatives. Fresh on the heels of Katharine Harris Crazy, comes this story about the Republican gubernatorial candidates. Seems their debate and ad campaigns have spiraled into a "your-not-anti-gay -or-pro-choice enough" debacle. God forbid there is a Republican who thinks civil unions are a good idea! In the Blah, blah, blah debate- it appears as if the Washington State Court System may have to hear more arguments on their Sam-sex rulings. Washington state law allows the losing side in appeals to the high court to petition for reconsideration. [via 365 Gay]

We found this little item to be very interesting and completely representative of how our opponents manipulate figures to meet their arguments. It also helps that these organizations full well know that their followers won't be doing any research to see the true figures. Thankfully someone on our side has. While some same-sex couples may be spouse-beaters, you'd be surprised who is doing the real bashing.
