Call To Arms: Banksy

Thanks to Towleroad for turning us onto Banksy, a graffiti artist. However, we don't think graffiti artist really does banksy any credit. From stark images of creative brilliance set against urban landscapes to ingenious and subversive pop culture pieces, this artist is re-defining what we consider art and at the same time bringing new meaning to satire.

Most recently (which you can read about over at Towleroad) bansky has successfully re-mixed the creative content of Paris Hilton's album, Paris. Check out his incredible handiwork here. He re-mixed an entire album of music, created a scathing CD insert and even featured a sticker on the cover with fake song titles like, "Why Am I Famous?"

However, what made us want to bring banksy to your attention was a little piece of art he created at Disneyland. He installed an inflatable, life-sized Guatanomo Detainee that was standing inside the fenced in area of the Rocky Mountain Railroad ride. Check out Towleroad's coverage here. Brilliant.

Go visit banksy at his webiste, here.
