Good Call: 'The State' on iTunes

Huzzah! According to an email from the Stella mailing list (via Product Shop NYC):

"After ten years of popular demand, The State is available again! The first season of the critically acclaimed 1993-95 MTV Series will be released on iTunes Music Store, starting Tuesday, September 26th. Depending on how many people download, MTV will release subsequent seasons, and then eventually, hopefully, a DVD."

We're so elated, except for the one downside, we don't have a video iPod. Still, tell all your friends who do to download the show and maybe well finally (fingers crossed) see The State on DVD. In the meantime, you can find a lot of sketches from The State on You Tube.

now if Comedy Central would put out Viva Variety on DVD, life would be complete.

Oh, and and you can find mp3's of The State via Product Shop as well. Who doesn't want to listen "Porcupine Racetrack" on their iPod? Anybody? We thought not.
