Hot Line: The Cast of The Covenant

Yeah, we wasted our ten bucks on this terrible film, which plays like an all-male version of The Craft, but come on, the cast look like they walked out of an Abercrombie catalog, and we're suckers for a pretty face (or five).

The film, by and large, is terrible, directed by hack Renny Harlin (Cutthroat Island, anyone?). We think the plot is a thinly veiled metaphor for the evils of drugs (crystal meth?), because the more the "Sons of Ipswich" use their powers, the more addictive it becomes, and the more rapidly it ages them. Then there's all the homosexual subtext and the gratutious locker room scene. The almost laughable final fight scene is like something out of Street Fighter, but did you really expect cinematic innovation in this genre piece?

Worst line: "I'm going to make you my witch."

For all the straight guys who may see the movie, take comfort; there's plenty of shots of the female leads taking showers or lounging in their white cotton panties.
