The Ring-A-Ding: LA Gays Sue, Trannies Get To Choose, Christian Coalition Blues
They say that elephants have a long memories, but so does a queer who has been wronged. The Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Center filed suit Tuesday in US District Court accusing the Internal Revenue Service of refusing to turn over documents pertaining to the rejection of the center's application for non-profit status in the early 1970s.
So if you are a co-ed at the University of Arizona,be on alert. The UA allows transgendered people to use the restrooms with which they best identify, making it one of the most inclusive campuses in the country, a UA official said. While we don't think you should be on alert for trannies, we can envision tons of frat boys dressing in drag just in hopes of infiltrating the ladies' room.
What was once an incredibly powerful religious lobbying group in this country has lost much of its momentum in recent years. A decade ago the Christian Coalition was among the most powerful conservative Christian groups fighting the advance of LGBT rights in America. Today it is little more than a shadow of its former self. Don't tell us it took that long to realize Pat Robertson was crazy as ... Well, as Pat Robertson.
