The Ring-A-Ding: Parents Say No To Laramie, Pope Thinks Gay Marriage is a Folly, We Don't Want Ex-Gays on The Telie
Some parents at Valley High School in West Des Moines, Iowa, are upset over the school's decision to let students perform The Laramie Project, a play based on the murder of Matthew Shepard. Parents are saying that it is not the homosexual subject matter that upsets them but the profanity, graphic violence and depictions of sex. Yeah Right! I am sure that really bothers them when their kids are listening to 50 cent, playing Grand Theft Auto and watching porn on the internet. [via The Advocate]
We here at The Operator can't tell you how much we love the new Pope Evil! Not only is he a fresher, younger version of the old Pope, but he has that satanic, underling grin that is so in this season. Also in this season is his disdain for gay rights and same-sex marriage. Pope Benedict XVI want Canada to stop its inclusionary laws of allowing everyone to get married. And in case you want to read more of Pope Evil's hateful rhetoric, check out this article.
"Pure Passion," an "ex-gay" television show will air on two Christian television networks. Beginning Sept. 18, The Sky Angel Satellite Network will run the show and it will also appear on local affiliates with the Christian Television Network. First of all, lets talk about The Sky Angel Satellite Network. What kind of name is that? Can you picture a glowing, white robed, golden haired, ethereal creature orbiting our planet and broadcasting Christian appropriate programming to our televisions? Truth Wins Out, a non-profit think tank and educational organization that counters right wing disinformation campaigns, debunks the ex-gay myth, and provides accurate information about the lives of GLBT people, has condemned the show.
