411: Cops Go Under Cover

We love that hate crimes and gay bashing are finally getting the attention that they deserve. All over the country and the world, law enforcement agencies are taking the threat of hate crimes seriously and being pro-active in their approach to stopping these crimes.

Case in point is this story from The New York Post.

A Brooklyn man chose the wrong targets to gay-bash when he picked on two undercover cops pretending to be snuggling paramours in Union Square Park, authorities said yesterday.

The cops, a sergeant and a police officer assigned to the Transit Borough Manhattan Task Force, were perched on a bench like lovebirds, with the sergeant's arm wrapped around his subordinate's shoulder, authorities said.

We are so happy that these cops are out there keeping the world safe for us queers, but what excites us even more is the idea of two straight cops canoodling on a bench in public. Do you think they rehearsed their moves?

"Hey Officer Johnson, meet me at my place tonight at 7 so we can go over our strategy for being gay tomrrow."

"No Problem, Sergeant, I'll bring the merlot. Can we watch grey's Anatomy like last time?"
