Have you ever heard people talk about history and they say something like, "I just don't understand how someone like Hitler came to power while a whole country sat by and did nothing?"

Well kids, open your eyes because it is happening here in America.

Towleroad has posted a story about Bush's latest law signing that essentially undoes the writ of habeas corpus. What is Habeas Corpus you might ask?

A writ of habeas corpus is a court order addressed to a prison official (or other custodian) ordering that a detainee be brought to the court so it can be determined whether or not that person is imprisoned lawfully and whether or not he or she should be released from custody. The writ of habeas corpus in common law countries is an important instrument for the safeguarding of individual freedom against arbitrary state action

That's right, now our government can lock you up and keep you there without ever charging you or putting you in front of a judge.

America, the coffee is brewing and the alarm clock is set for November 7th. Wake up and smell it, then go out and vote to get rid of our current leaders.
