open call: Come Out Of The Closet!!!!!!!

The time is now, the nation is ready. People are ready for honesty rather than revelation. They want to know your sexuality before hand rather than it being exposed after some sort of scandal or on set incident.

And the queer community wants you to be openly gay before you do something scandalous and then use being gay as a way to gain sympathy. Coming out is hard for just about everyone and outing yourself because of a scandal is a sad ploy to gain some sort of emotional empathy from your detractors. Yeah, we are talking about you Mark Foley and James McGreevey.

And we don't want to have to whisper about your sexuality for months and sometimes years while you party at our clubs and go to our events, but don't want everybody to know. And then you want us to be all excited for you when you finally make your big public coming out statement. Yeah, we are talking about you Lance Bass.

While we are opposed to outing anyone, we feel that if you are hiding your sexuality from the public and then making anti-gay legislation in the "public's interest" then people finding out your secret is just a karmic debt that needs to be paid. Yeah, we are talking about you Senator Larry Craig.

If one is honest about their sexuality from the beginning, it won't be a big deal in the eyes of the rest of America. And if you feel like it might be detrimental to your image or keep you from getting jobs, you may be slightly right. Things might be rough for awhile but if you are talented and dedicated you will be fine. Just ask Ellen, Elton, Rupert, Nathan Lane...

KUDOS to you T.R. Knight! You came out in time so that there won't be a "Shocking Revelation." You chose to be honest and forthright about yourself. Congratulations! You will no longer have to worry about who sees you at which restaurant or bar or who you are seen with in public. You will now be able to live your life openly and without fear! Doesn't it feel good?

Ummm... And if you are single, T.R. Knight, please give operatorLA a call. You have always been our McCutie and your acting (and Sandra Oh's) was the only reason operatorLA watched Grey's Anatomy the first season.
