Curtain Call: Daniel Radcliffe in Equus

operatorLA is a theatre queen from way back. He just loves the show Equus.

operatorLA is also a big geek and loves the Harry Potter books.

So you can imagine his excitement when he heard that Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) was going to appear in a stage version of Equus. Too bad it is in London and we will never be able to see it.

For those of you who don't know, the character Radliffe will be playing in Equus is a troubled youth who mysteriously violates horses. And one point in the show his character is required to appear nude.

Andy Towle over at Towleroad was correct when he summarized that "the poster [of Equus], which uses Radcliffe's nipples as a fusion point as his body morphs into the head of the horse, is a graphic triumph."

We have yet to see a graphic that so encapuslates the feeling of the show. Disturbing, exhilirating and a tad bit sexy.
