Blocked Call: Lance Bass Admits He is a Homosexual and enjoys a Gay Lifestyle
Did you know that there were rules governing how things should be presented in the media? Neither did operatorLA until he caught wind of a press release being circulated by the National Lesbian & Gay Journalists Association. Our friends over at Queerty have shared this info and we find it funny. OperatorLA is offering up a handy dandy quick reference chart for the queer journalist on the go:
- Never refer to someone who is gay, lesbian, transgendered or bisexual as a homosexual. This causes them to spiral into a tirade not seen since Faye Dunaway in Mommie Dearest.
- Avoid the term "lifestyle" when referring to someone's sexual orientation, In this context, "lifestyle" suggests that gays and lesbians -- not to mention bisexuals and transgender people -- think and act the same way. This in no way could be used to describe Bass and his boyfriend, Reichen Lehmkuhl, who have been spotted on multiple occasions wearing the SAME clothes.
- Never use the word admit or derivatives thereof, which is typically used in the context of something shameful or illegal. Lord knows the subject didn't think there was anything shameful or wrong about it since they waited years to come out and only did it after they were caught in numerous homosexual lifestyle hangouts.
